Full Membership

$47.50 per month

Full Members must be a Building Practitioners (Draftsperson, Building Design, Interior, Service and Architects). We welcome sole practitioners, principals, directors, managers and senior employees of building design practices.

Ability to add TPA accreditation to this member type.

Individual Membership

$24.50 per month

Individual members must be employed in a design practice and supervised by a Building Practitioner.

Ability to add TPA accreditation to this member type.

Graduate Members

$12.00 per month

 Recent graduates employed in the building design or thermal performance industry , who have undertaken a recognised building design course, Advanced Diploma of Building Design (Architectural) or Advanced Diploma of Interior Design can become a member. A graduate membership expires upon three years from the date of the completion of their building design course.

Student Members

$0 

 

Students not yet employed in the building design or thermal performance industry , who are undertaking a recognised building design course, Advanced Diploma of Building Design (Architectural), Advanced Diploma of Interior Design or CPP41119 Cert IV Home Energy Efficiency and Sustainability can become a member. A student membership expires upon three years or at commencement of employment within the building design profession.


Thermal Performance Assessor Membership

$24.20 for Membership and $37 for Accreditation monthly

Thermal Performance Assessor membership is available for Thermal Performance Assessors, manufacturers, consultants, educational institutions, building town planners, surveyors and engineers.

Recognised Members

Fellow

A Member that has provided significant service to the Association and/or to the industry may be nominated to become a Fellow of the Organisation. The annual fee paid by Fellows is equivalent to the Full Member fee.

Life Member

A Fellow of Design Matters National may be considered as a Life Member if he or she has held continuous membership of Design Matters National for at least fifteen years and has made a significant contribution to the Association and/or to the advancement of the building design profession. The annual fee paid by Life Members is equivalent to the Full Member fee.

Honorary Members

A person who has made a significant contribution to the Association and/or to the advancement of the profession of building design, may be admitted as an Honorary Member at the invitation of the Association. There is no annual fee payable by Honorary Members.

Retired Member

A Retired Member has reached the age of retirement and ceased to work in a design practice by relinquishing their registration with the Building Practitioners Board. The annual fee paid by Retired Members is equivalent to one-tenth of the Full Member fee.
