Registered Building Designers

Consumers who choose a Registered Building Designer to design their dream homes, receive equally award-winning results to those that use Architects. All of the magnificent designs illustrated on our website are the works of our members who are Registered Building Designers.

Registered Building Designers (once known as drafts people) must comply with local building and planning regulations for any building project whether that be residential, commercial or industrial. A Registered Building Designer may have a degree in architecture (but may not be registered as an architect) or extensive experience in the building and construction industry and must have an Advanced Diploma of Building Design (Architectural).

Design Matters National is recognised throughout Australia as the leading voice representing the largest group of Registered Building Designers. We work diligently to support our community of Registered Building Designers by providing innovative professional development, networking opportunities and government advocacy to protect and promote the profession nationally.
