DMN Tassie Summer 2026 Study Tour

Nothing beats learning about building design while standing in a building, beside the people who designed it. That idea sits at the heart of the DMN Tassie Summer 2026 Study Tour, a tightly curated two-day program of site visits, talks and shared meals that brings members face-to-face with some of Tasmania’s most thoughtful contemporary architecture.

Running across Thursday 5 February and Friday 6 February 2026, the tour invites built-environment professionals, emerging designers and students to experience award-winning homes, hear directly from designers and architects, and connect with the Tasmanian design community in an environment that values conversation as much as construction detail.

This mini study tour is, in every sense, a festival of Tasmanian design. It reflects design excellence, a distinctly Tasmanian sense of place, and a commitment to going beyond minimum compliance to deliver healthy, durable and low-energy buildings.

Design Matters National extends congratulations to Mike Cleaver (Clever Design), Uta Green (Green Design) and Hugh Maguire (Maguire + Devine) for their outstanding work, and sincere thanks for their generosity in opening their projects and sharing their thinking with DMN members.
