An evening catch-up for DMN members proudly supported by Think Brick Australia. This Geelong meet-up brings a focused technical update on brickwork and masonry to your region, helping you design more durable, sustainable and NCC-ready residential projects.

Across the session you will:

  • Refresh your understanding of core masonry detailing – flashings, DPCs, lintels, wall ties and mortar – and how they work together for robust, compliant construction.
  • Learn how to assess the environmental performance of masonry, including embodied carbon, EPDs, circularity and current manufacturing innovations.
  • Incorporate lifecycle and environmental data into your product selection and client advice.
  • Explore how to use masonry’s thermal mass strategically to support NCC/NatHERS energy-efficiency requirements.
  • Understand the key NCC 2025 changes for designers in relation to brickwork so you can plan and document with confidence.

Delivered by Cathy Inglis AM, this session is designed specifically for building designers and will provide clear, immediately usable insights rather than generic product promotion.

Whether you are looking to strengthen your technical capability, prepare for NCC 2025, or connect with fellow building designers in the Geelong region, this members’ meet-up offers a practical, local CPD opportunity.
