Design Matters National focuses on providing relevant and innovative professional development programs (CPD) to ensure members are kept abreast of legislation requirements, materials, sustainability and the latest in building design innovation.
Our vast and diverse range of CPD programs are delivered by industry professionals who demonstrate in-depth understanding of the current trends, tools and trade updates.
Our webinars are presented by industry experts and provide members with invaluable and relevant education across all facets of building design, sustainability and construction. Held in a live environment, members enjoy interacting with the speakers and collaborating with each other from the comfort of their home or office. Live webinars are consistently held several times a month and available for download at any time, should you miss one.

Workshops and seminars are held in metropolitan and regional centres providing members opportunities to meet one another and learn from industry specialists. Networking is of the utmost importance to our members, and one of the reasons why most join Design Matters National. Our series of casual, formal and educational networking events provide our members opportunities to meet each other and learn about the latest from our industry partners who also attend. Site Visits/Study Tours

Our site visit programs provide private access and tours of local architectural wonders, product suppliers and manufacturers particular to building and interior design.

Thermal Performance Assessors Accreditation
Thermal Performance Assessors must obtain a minimum of twelve (12) CPD points per annum of which at least six (6) points must be obtained from attending training deemed as NatHERS Technical*. One CPD point is equal to one hour of active participation.
NatHERS – Accepted Technical Training Subjects
- NatHERS accredited software tools, including formal training from AAO approved mentors.
- Using other residential thermal efficiency software or assessment mechanisms.
- How to improve building envelope thermal potential and/or performance.
- National Construction Code energy efficiency provisions and other regulatory instruments relevant to NatHERS.

Manage your CPD points
Members can record and track their CPD points from their own profile on our website for attendance at educational training and events. A statement of attained CPD points can be easily downloaded ready for accreditation or for recordkeeping purposes.
